Kill demons with music

Metal: Hellsinger is a paid action game developed by Funcom that combines first-person shooter with music rhythm gameplay. Here, you will kill demons while listening to the music on the beat. The more you get in the rhythm, the higher your score will be.

Metal: Hellsinger gives players a great mix of Doom and Beats Per Minute. Not only that, but the game also features popular metal artists on its playlists. It also boasts a great level design and overall environment. However, the overall look can strain the eyes. It can even cause more problems for players with photosensitive eyes.

Slay to the beat

Metal: Hellsinger is a game that takes you to eight hells. Here, your goal is to kill all the demons using a skull-clad blade or murderous guns. However, you will need to keep up with the beat as you do so. The more you shoot in sync, the better will be your gameplay experience. The more in sync you are with the rhythm, the more destruction you will cause.

More than its unique gameplay, the game also put together numerous metal artists. You can listen to artists like Randy Blythe from Lamb of God, Serj Tankian from System of a Dawn, and Matt Heafy from Trivium as you play. The music starts with only the instrumentals. As you hit the maximum fury meter, you will hear the vocals. Be warned, though. The sound can be garbled sometimes.

Besides its list of great artists, the game also boasts polished visuals. Even put at low settings, the presentation feels brilliant. However, the overall look can be straining for the eyes, especially those with photosensitive eyes. This single-player game allows you to compete with other players via the leaderboard. You can even challenge your friends to beat your score in the Challenge mode.

Shoot and rock

All in all, Metal: Hellsinger offers a genuinely fascinating premise. Here, you can experience action-packed battles played to the sound of metal songs. It has plenty of challenges set in a great level design and overall environment. There are a few issues here and there, including the lack of complexity in the gunplay. It also targets a niche audience. Nevertheless, it is a fun game, especially for metalheads.
